| 34 and 36 | Newborn up to the 5th week of life |
| 38 and 40 | 5 weeks up to 3 months |
| 42 and 44 | 3 months to 5 1/2 months |
| 46 and 48 | 5 1/2 up to 9 months for children with large heads
5 1/2 up to 1 year for children with small heads |
| 50 and 52 | most important sizes for children from 10 months to 4 years |
| 54 and 56 | 1 1/2 to approx. 8 years for boys with large heads
5 years to adulthood for many girls |
| 58 and 60 | for tall children and adults |
